King Edward VII School to hold annual reunion dinner on Oct 1

THE old boys of King Edward VII School in Taiping, Perak, will hold their annual reunion dinner for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic struck two years ago.

Old Edwardian Association president Mohaideen Mohd Ishack said the 53rd Old Edwardian annual reunion dinner would be held on Oct 1 at the SSL Traders Hotel in Kamunting.

He said former students from Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States would also attend the dinner.

The guest-of-honour is Datuk Seri Utama Ooi Huat Beng, who is also an old boy of the school.

The annual school sports will be held at the school field at 8.30am on the same day as the dinner.

The Yeoh Teng Khoo rugby match between the old boys and the present school team will be played at the school field at 5pm on Sept 30.

The Edward Mai hockey match, also between the old boys and current students, will be held simultaneously at the same venue.

Another event is the Old Edwardians Golf Challenge which will be held in Ipoh on another date after the dinner.

The annual general meeting of the Old Edwardian Association will be held at the association premises in Jalan Station at 10.30am on Oct 2.
